People who are new to Dead by Daylight might want to know what each place has to offer. This is how they compare.
There are more and more areas for Killers and Survivors to discover in Dead by Daylight. All images in the same realm have the same theme because they are based on the same realm. For instance, all of the Coldwind Farm maps take place on a farm in the country, while all of the Autoheaven Wreckers maps take place in a junkyard.
There are different themes in each of these worlds that make them stand out. Of course, some of these places are much more appealing than others, and it’s clear that a lot of thought went into making them. People who have never played Dead by Daylight before should know what each area has to offer.
Backwater Swamp
The Backwater Swamp is one of the least interesting Realms in Dead by Daylight, which is too bad. Nothing about the Realm stands out, other than the fact that it is very dull and gray.
There are some good things about it, like the unique boat buildings on The Pale Rose. It does, however, leave a lot to be desired and needs to be redone. If you make a few small changes, The Realm could become a much more interesting place to play. It has a very interesting history.
Springwood
In Dead by Daylight, Springwood is one of the less interesting Realms. The Badham Preschool and a few houses that all look the same make it pretty bland. There aren’t any clear locations or other things that make the Badham Preschool different from the other Realms.
According to legend, the realm leans strongly toward Survivors. This makes it difficult for Killers to play, as they are usually far behind. Springwood is one of the less amazing worlds in Dead by Daylight because the graphics aren’t very good and the game isn’t fair.
Crotus Penn Asylum
The idea behind Crotus Penn Asylum is interesting, but the story itself isn’t quite up to par. When the realm first came out, it was with The Nurse and was where she worked before The Entity took her.
Most of the map takes place outside, so not much of the Asylum itself is left at all. It would have been cool to get a better look at the Asylum and look around inside its rooms more.
MacMillan Estate
One of the first three worlds in Dead by Daylight is the Macmillan Estate. This realm is mostly set in an abandoned industrial area that is falling apart. It is owned by the Macmillan family.
Players will find that the maps are full of old buildings, stores, and even an old mine that are rusty and falling apart. Even though it has a dark feel to it, it’s not as memorable as the other worlds.
Haddonfield
Haddonfield is based on the made-up town of Haddonfield, Illinois, which is in the Halloween movie series and is where most of the movie’s events happen. With its houses, streets, and abandoned cars, the Haddonfield realm is meant to look like a suburban neighborhood.
It’s one of the more interesting maps in the game because it’s in a city and the houses are very close together. The Myers house is one of the most famous places, and it also has a big part in the Halloween movie series.
Autohaven Wreckers
The setting of Autohaven Wreckers is pretty special; it looks like an old, broken-down car junkyard. Many of the Autoheaven maps have walls made of wrecked cars, broken industrial equipment, and other junk that players can walk on.
It’s also one of the three places that came with the original Dead by Daylight, which makes it one of the most famous and loved maps in the game. The realm doesn’t look as good as the others, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s historically important in the game.
Ormond
There is only one snowy area in Dead by Daylight, and it takes place at a ski lodge in Canada. A group of people called “The Legion” lives in Ormond, and their writing can be found all over the realm.
Ormond is a very special map because it has bright and varied weather. It even gets some Christmas decorations. The chalet is also a unique house in Dead by Daylight. It has a bar and a cozy fire pit.
Yamaoka Estate
The Yamaoka Estate has some truly beautiful scenery. This realm is based on country Japan, so there are a lot of stone buildings and grass. The maps in this realm also have their own shrines, which are home to The Spirit and The Oni and have some interesting story consequences for those who are interested.
There are some really cool new features in the Sanctum of Wrath. For example, the figures in the middle of the map will always have their heads facing the player, which is both creepy and interesting.
Withered Isle
The Garden of Joy, one of the most important areas in Dead by Daylight, is on the Withered Isle. For many players, this map has been the worst because it gives the Survivor side an unfair edge. Even though there are problems with the game, the area has one of the more interesting themes in Dead by Daylight.
A cult used to live on the Withered Isle, but things went very badly. As players move around the map, they can see what happened after the accident. The main house is especially creepy, with furniture stuck to the roof.
Dvraka Deepwood
When Dead by Daylight first tried their hand at sci-fi horror, it was with The Dvarka Deepwood. The realm looks beautiful, with strange plants and animals all over the maps and crashed planes to explore.
Toba Landing had a lot of trouble with steering, which was a shame. It was very hard for players to find their way around this map because it was full of scenery. The Nostromo Wreckage helped with this answer to some extent, but it made the area look a bit duller.
Forsaken Boneyard
In Dead by Daylight, the Forsaken Boneyard stands out from many of the other Realms because it is set in a harsh desert. There are beautiful old buildings, flying books, and a huge group of crows in the middle of the map. There is no doubt that a lot of love and thought went into making this Realm look the way it does.
Some players have had trouble with this realm in the past, but after reworks, many of the bugs have been fixed, making it one of the better realms in Dead by Daylight.
Lery’s Memorial Institute
The first indoor map that Dead by Daylight made was of Lery’s Memorial Institute. The amazing attention to detail makes this world shine. The map can be hard to use because the passageways are winding and seem to go on forever.
Instead of the normal lights above the generators, players have to use the flashing lights in doors to find them, which makes them even more lost. The setting, an empty hospital room, is also very scary, playing on a lot of players’ fears.
Gideon Meat Plant
The horror movie series Saw has a lot to do with The Gideon Meat Plant. The realm is in an old, broken-down meat production plant that has been left empty.
It might be hard for players to get around in this realm because it has narrow hallways and a plan that looks like a maze. Also, the environment is very dark and grim, with bloodstains, rusty machinery, and famous movie traps all over the map. Because it’s dark and has troubling themes, it’s one of the scariest maps in Dead by Daylight.
Decimated Borgo
The Decimated Borgo gave Dead by Daylight maps a whole new look: a medieval look. The Decimated Borgo is one of the most unique Realms in Basket Random. It is easy to spot because its buildings are on fire and it is dirty and red.
They’ll quickly feel like they’ve walked into the scene of a terrible crime. There are animal bodies all over the place, and there are no signs of anyone still alive. Fans will want to know more about what took place in this realm, which is what makes it so great.
Red Forest
Since it was fixed up, Red Forest is now one of the most beautiful Realms in Dead by Daylight. The Realm has a lot of atmosphere, with thick plants and steady rain being its most noticeable features.
A lot of players are deeply scared by it because it makes them think of scary movies set in dark woods. People who like Dead by Daylight and end up in the Red Forest might quickly understand they shouldn’t have gone there that day.
Coldwind Farm
It’s clear that Coldwind Farm got its setting from old horror movies like “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre,” which takes place on a hot, country farm. Animal bodies are scattered across the farm, along with broken-down equipment.
A lot of the maps in the realm are big and open, and they are often covered with corn fields that make it hard to see. Coldwind Farm is one of the most famous and well-known places in Dead by Daylight. Its awful mood and bright colors make it easy to spot.
Grave of Glenvale
One of the most unique and well-known maps in Dead by Daylight is the Grave of Glenvale. The realm looks like an old, deserted Wild West town. It has a bar, cacti, and lots of tumbleweeds.
The beautiful skybox really makes this realm stand out. The realm takes place at sunset, which gives the whole map a golden glow. There’s no denying how beautiful The Grave of Glenvale is; it really stands out in Dead by Daylight.
Raccoon City
The East and West Wings of the Police Department are the two maps that Raccoon City has right now in Dead by Daylight. The map looks a lot like the police station from Resident Evil 2, but it has a Dead by Daylight twist.
It’s clear that The Entity has harmed the police station, as the windows are being smashed by the franchise’s famous zombies. For Resident Evil fans, this realm brings back a lot of memories, and it has one of the most unique themes in the game.
Silent Hill
Dead by Daylight’s Silent Hill Realm only has one map, which is Midwich Elementary School. But there’s no denying that this picture is beautiful. With rusty chains and dead bodies hanging from the roof, the map does a great job of creating a scary atmosphere.
Even though it can be hard to find your way around, the map itself is a nightmare, and the atmosphere more than makes up for the plan problems.
